Terms of Service

1. The service

Tagor helps users identify products, voluntarily record factual shelf prices, compare online and local offers, manage shopping lists and alerts, use an AI shopping assistant, and present compact results on compatible smart glasses. Tagor is an information and referral service. Vaveti Inc. is not the retailer, seller, payment processor, or manufacturer of products shown unless expressly stated.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 to create or use a Tagor account. Tagor does not currently offer parent-authorised accounts for younger users. If you are below the age of majority where you live, your parent or guardian must approve your use and any purchase you make through a retailer. Additional age rules imposed by an app store, retailer, affiliate, or device provider also apply.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and connected devices, and promptly notify us of suspected misuse. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. You may delete your account using the in-app control. We may suspend an account to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

• Use Tagor lawfully and do not endanger, harass, surveil, deceive, or invade the privacy of another person.
• Do not submit fabricated prices, manipulated evidence, unlawful content, malware, spam, impersonation, or content that infringes another person's rights.
• Do not scrape, crawl, bulk export, reverse-engineer, bypass security, or use automated access unless Vaveti Inc. gives written permission or applicable law expressly permits it.
• Do not interfere with the service, manipulate rewards or trust signals, evade rate limits, or attempt to obtain another user's information.
• Do not use Tagor to facilitate a prohibited transaction or violate sanctions, export controls, store rules, retailer terms, provider terms, or applicable law.

5. Store rules, photography, and private property

Retail stores and other venues may be private property and may prohibit or restrict photography, recording, smart glasses, or scanning. You must check and follow posted rules and staff instructions. If asked to stop, leave, or put away a device, comply immediately. Tagor does not grant a right to photograph, record, or remain on private property and does not encourage covert capture. You are responsible for the manner and place in which you use the service, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

6. Camera, voice, and smart-glasses use

• Start a camera, microphone, or visual-analysis feature only when you intend to use it. Do not use Tagor for continuous or hidden recording.
• Frame only the product, barcode, price label, or scene needed for your request. Avoid people, employee badges, receipts, payment details, licence plates, private screens, health information, and documents.
• A selected image, frame, audio request, or transcript may be sent to cloud AI, vision, speech, product-search, mapping, or commerce providers as explained in the Privacy Policy.
• Smart-glasses hardware, privacy indicators, companion apps, and operating systems are provided by third parties and remain subject to their terms. Tagor cannot disable manufacturer privacy indicators.

7. Prices, matches, and recommendations

Prices, availability, product matches, historical ranges, AI analysis, nearby-store suggestions, and savings estimates may be incomplete, delayed, converted, stale, or wrong. Package size, variant, condition, shipping, tax, membership pricing, currency, and location can differ. A “likely” or “similar” match is not an exact match. Verify the product and final checkout or shelf price before acting. Tagor does not provide financial, legal, medical, or professional advice and does not guarantee savings.

8. Price alerts and notifications

Alerts and reminders are best-effort. Delivery, timing, availability, and price may change. A notification is not a reservation, offer, or guarantee. You control optional notification categories and may disable them in Tagor or device settings. Tagor may apply relevance and frequency limits to reduce unwanted notifications.

9. Community contributions and ownership

• A factual observation such as a product price may not itself be protected by copyright, but photos, written descriptions, compilations, databases, logos, and provider data may be protected by intellectual-property, privacy, contract, or other rights.
• You retain any rights you hold in an original photo or description. By submitting content, you grant Vaveti Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, adapt for privacy and formatting, validate, moderate, display, and use it to operate and improve the feature you selected. This licence does not by itself authorise sale, third-party AI training, or materially different commercial redistribution. Those purposes require a separate disclosure and, where required, a separate choice. The licence lasts while the content is used by Tagor, except that irreversibly de-identified aggregate facts may be retained.
• You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, relevant, lawfully obtained, and does not expose another person's personal information or violate a store or provider restriction.
• Community submissions are account-linked or pseudonymous internally when needed for trust, correction, abuse prevention, and deletion. Public presentation is privacy-reduced and does not include raw coordinates or the contributor account.

10. Moderation, correction, and reporting

Tagor may review, label, suppress, correct, refuse, or remove submissions and AI output, but cannot guarantee advance review of everything. Users can confirm or dispute prices and report inaccurate results. Report harmful, illegal, abusive, offensive, infringing, or privacy-invasive content through an available Report control or by emailing tagor.ai@vaveti.com. We may preserve relevant evidence, restrict abusive contributors, and cooperate with lawful requests. If content you submitted is removed, related rewards or trust status may also be adjusted.

11. Data sources and provider restrictions

Tagor uses voluntary first-party observations and product, price, map, place, affiliate, or commerce information from providers whose data is licensed, authorised, or otherwise contractually permitted for the applicable use. Integrations may be disabled when approval is absent or uncertain. Provider data remains subject to its licence and may not be redistributed, retained, or monetised beyond what that licence allows. Vaveti Inc. does not promise that every technically accessible endpoint is an authorised source.

12. Affiliate links and retailer transactions

• Some outbound links are affiliate links and may compensate Vaveti Inc. if you click or buy. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
• Commercial-link details appear in our Affiliate Disclaimer. An affiliate relationship may be one factor in which actionable links can be offered, but Tagor also considers match quality, price, availability, location, source reliability, and user intent.
• Your purchase is made from the retailer, not Vaveti Inc. Retailer terms, returns, warranties, taxes, delivery, privacy, and customer support apply. Verify the final price and seller before purchasing.

13. Retailer names, brands, and images

Retailer and brand names may be used to identify a product, seller, price source, or destination. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or partnership. Trademarks remain the property of their owners. Product imagery is displayed only where the source or contributor grants the necessary rights or another lawful basis applies. Rights and permitted uses vary; no clause in these Terms declares every use to be fair use in every country. Send a substantiated infringement notice to our support address for review.

14. AI features

AI may generate text, product identities, prices, classifications, visual cards, translations, or recommendations. AI can misunderstand speech and images, hallucinate, repeat, omit context, or produce inappropriate content. Do not rely on AI output where an error could cause harm. Use feedback and reporting controls to flag a problem. Tagor may use multiple providers in one workflow and may fall back to rule-based or cached information.

15. Rewards, plans, and credits

Rewards points and plan-usage credits are separate. Rewards are loyalty points and have no cash value unless a specific programme rule says otherwise. Credits measure eligible plan or provider usage. A private in-store scan earns no community-contribution points. An eligible verified in-store price that you choose to share may earn 10 points, subject to the displayed limit of one award in a rolling 24-hour period. You may withdraw a community contribution later; exercising that privacy choice does not remove points already awarded. We may prevent fraud, correct errors, reverse duplicate or invalid awards, and change programme rules or plan allowances with notice required by law. Paid-plan cancellation, renewal, refund, and billing terms shown at purchase also apply. Nothing limits mandatory consumer rights.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes precise location, camera and smart-glasses frames, voice, cloud providers, community records, international processing, retention, and deletion. Review it before using sensitive features.

17. Third-party services and hardware

Retailers, app stores, login providers, mapping services, smart-glasses manufacturers, mobile operating systems, and other third parties control their own services. We are not responsible for their availability, security, content, policies, products, or conduct. Their terms may apply in addition to these Terms.

18. Intellectual property in Tagor

Vaveti Inc. and its licensors own Tagor software, design, branding, and original service content. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use Tagor for personal shopping purposes. You receive no ownership in Tagor, provider feeds, or another user's content.

19. Service availability and changes

Features depend on networks, devices, providers, permissions, and regional availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature, source, integration, plan, or device adapter. We will provide notice of a material adverse change where reasonably possible and required by law.

20. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tagor is provided “as is” and “as available.” Vaveti Inc. disclaims implied warranties that may lawfully be disclaimed, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. This section does not exclude statutory warranties or consumer protections that cannot be excluded.

21. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vaveti Inc. is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profit, opportunity, data, or goodwill arising from Tagor, a price error, provider outage, retailer transaction, store interaction, or user contribution. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

22. Responsibility for your conduct

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims and costs caused by your unlawful use, infringement, false contribution, privacy violation, store-rule violation, or material breach of these Terms. This does not require a consumer to indemnify Vaveti Inc. for Vaveti Inc.'s own unlawful conduct, gross negligence, or obligations that cannot be shifted under applicable law.

23. Termination

You may stop using Tagor and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, fraud, unlawful conduct, risk to others, provider requirement, or discontinuation of the service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to appeal or export information, subject to security and legal restrictions.

24. Disputes and governing law

Contact tagor.ai@vaveti.com first so we can try to resolve a concern. These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections or a forum available under the law of the consumer's residence. No provision requires arbitration or waives a class, court, statutory, or regulatory remedy where that requirement or waiver would be invalid.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, providers, commercial model, or law changes. We will provide notice of material changes. If applicable law requires express acceptance or consent, continued use alone will not replace it. If you reject a material change, you may stop using Tagor and delete your account.

26. General provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Affiliate Disclaimer, and any plan-specific purchase terms form the agreement concerning Tagor. French-language and mandatory consumer-law requirements apply where required.
